This year’s Hula O Na Keiki hula competition snuck up on us! But as usual, we had a great time participating in the craft show and doing the ipu/’uli’uli workshops. Washing ipu in the ocean is always a hit with the kids…their amazement in making their own instrument is priceless 🙂
Mo’opuna Kaia came for a visit and loved playing with the ‘uli’uli even though they were almost as big as she….note to self, must make small ‘uli’uli for granddaughters…encourage the hula in them all 🙂
Congratulations to Halau Kekuaokala’au’ala’iliahi….their dancers Corrie-Lynn Montalvo and Kamaehu Kawa’a took top honors.
